The goal of these courses is to allow students to practice designing a computer controlled, electromechanical product:

• The students must brainstorm, design, test, evaluate, order parts, build, document and make (MANY) presentations about their product. 

• The product must have significant mechanical, electrical and software components and they must be integrated.

• There are significant management challenges (scheduling, team building, budgeting).

• They must ‘engineer the solution' (apply math & science), not ‘hack it’ together; they must design it first, then build and test it.
