This project takes a 2D control system (steel ball balancing on a platform) and adds a novel teaching interface - an LCD panel with touch sensor -to allow the user to draw a path for the ball to follow.
This small robotic car will serve as a velocity control systems trainer for future VTC students. It features 4 wheel drive, a microcontroller, and Bluetooth to allow students to send commands and receive real time data from the vehicle.
A skiing robot, using GPS and obstacle sensors. This robot will be trained by recording the GPS coordinates of a human skier, than it will retrace the human's path, avoiding objects along the way.
Mortises and tenons are an important part of post and beam construction, but making these joints takes practice and significant time. The craftsman affixes this machine to the beam and it automates the cuts while the carpenter works on other things.
Modern skis need precisely trimmed profiles - thick under the bindings but thin at the tips. A thickness planer was modified and automated to allow people to custom design and cut their own ski profile in a homemade ski core.
